VPC release schedule
LoanPro’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment operates on a quarterly release schedule. By default, all VPC users have a two-week testing period before updates are deployed to production.
For extended testing, you can purchase a separate staging environment (distinct from your sandbox environment), which provides a 45-day testing window to thoroughly prepare for updates.
While both sandbox and staging environments support testing, they serve different purposes. A sandbox environment is always available for development and experimentation with mock data. A staging environment, on the other hand, mirrors your production setup and is specifically there to help you validate updates (like our quarterly VPC releases) before they impact your live environment.
Release schedule for VPC clients with a staging environment
For clients with a staging environment, the release process is broken into three main phases:
- Day 1: Access to new features. On the first day of the release, the latest updates become available in your staging tenant. This marks the start of the 45-day testing period.
- Day 1-45: Testing period. During these 45 days, you can test loan scenarios with the new features, validate configurations and workflows, simulate real-life load conditions to evaluate performance, and conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing. This extended window is meant to help you catch any issues before updates are deployed to live loans. If you run into any bugs or problems, be sure to report them to LoanPro.
- Day 45: Deployment to production. At the end of the testing period, on day 45, the new release is pushed to the live production environment and becomes ready for use. The remaining 45 days of the quarter are dedicated to stable code.
