LoanPro Core MCP
Learn how to seamlessly integrate AI agents and streamline business operations—without custom API middleware.
LoanPro Core MCP is a paid integration that is currently only available for loan accounts.
The LoanPro Core Model Context Protocol (MCP) securely connects external AI agents to LoanPro’s service engine, allowing them to read account data and execute loan servicing tasks within strict programmatic guardrails.
Use cases
By leveraging LoanPro's specialized capabilities, AI agents can independently manage end-to-end account workflows within your established operational boundaries. Supported MCP tools include:
- Loan Query
- Add or Edit Payment
- Add or Edit Action and Results
- Add or Edit AutoPay
- Update Custom Field
- Add or Edit Promise to Pay
Setup process
Follow these three steps to set up the LoanPro Core MCP:
1. Contact your LoanPro representative to obtain an active MCP authorization token.
2. Connect compatible MCP clients or AI Tools to the production endpoint, https://mcp.loanpro.io/core.
- Note: There is not a separate test endpoint. To test, generate a token from the Sandbox tenant to read and change data in that environment.
3. Configure execution prompts in your application.
Supported MCP and API platforms
Integrating the LoanPro MCP server across desktop apps, Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), workspaces, and automation engines seamlessly embeds lending capabilities into your daily tools. These connections bring real-time portfolio management directly into live conversations, developer environments, and operational pipelines—while maintaining strict data sovereignty and compliance.
You can access these capabilities across any platform that supports MCP and accepts a Bearer token directly. Tools that require OAuth, such as ChatGPT, are not supported. Here are some of the most popular compatible platforms, along with instructions on how to configure them:
| Platform | Configuration Location | Key Inputs/Setup Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Desktop | Settings > Connectors | Production URL, Auth Token |
| Cursor IDE | Settings > MCP/AI Tools > New MCP Server | Production URL, Auth Token (as Environment Variable) |
| Postman | + icon > MCP | HTTP (transport type), Production URL, Auth Headers |
Access controls
To maintain account security and compliance, LoanPro Core MCP limits AI agent actions to the exact permissions granted to the generating user. The table below outlines the controls, parameters, and enforcement rules that govern AI agent activity across your tenant.
| Control Area | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Permissions | The token inherits the LMS role and permissions of the user who generated it, and the gateway enforces them on every call. |
| Tool restriction | If a user’s role cannot perform an action in the LMS, the AI agent cannot do it through LoanPro Core MCP. |
| Token scope | Each token only covers one tenant. |
| Token lifespan | 90 days at launch. |
| Modify agent access | Manage or regenerate tokens in the AI Connectors app, or change a user's role. |
| Audit Trail | Every action taken through Core MCP is recorded in the LoanPro Audit Trail.
