Payix
With a recent update, LoanPro is now integrated with Payix, a US-based payment processor that you can enlist to handle your bank card and ACH payments. Payix is unique in that a single processor can deal with bank card and ACH transactions—most processing companies only do one or the other, and the companies that do both typically require you to set up two separate processors. Using a single processor for both transaction types will simplify the setup process.
In 2022, Repay, another one of our integrated payment processors, acquired Payix. As a result, you might run into links for Payix that direct you to the Repay website or see both titles be used interchangeably. Both processors, however, are still two distinct products that have their own setup and payment processing.
Like other processors, Payix has to be set up before you can start using it on payments. Sign up with Payix (or schedule a free demo) from Payix.net/loanpro., and then they'll give you a set of credentials that you can use to create processors in LMS or Secure Payments.
Setup
Your next step is to use those credentials to add a processor to your LMS and Secure Payments accounts. These accounts are connected, so you can create the processor in either, and it will be saved in both places. Additionally, since a single Payix processor can handle both ACH and bank card transactions, you can set it up from either area and it will be saved in both.
From LMS
In LMS, you'll first need to navigate to Settings > Company > Merchant > Secure Payments. Select either Debit/Credit Card or Bank Account/ACH (USA). Click the "Add Processor" button, and select Payix.
You'll see the following fields:
Field | Description |
Name | The name LMS and Secure Payments will display for the processor. |
Username | Your Payix username. |
Subdomain | Your Payix subdomain. |
Password | The password associated with your Payix username. |
Convenience fee | The fee applied to a loan when a payment is processed with this processor. |
Settings
There are also several settings options to help you get the most from your Payix account. Here are some examples:
Field | Description |
Default | This lets you toggle your Payix account between demo mode and live mode. In demo mode, LoanPro won't send transactions to Payix. |
Auto Reversal | Selecting this option will automatically reverse payments in the LoanPro system if they are returned by Payix. |
Once you've completed filling out all of the required fields, click the ‘Save’ button.
From Secure Payments
In Secure Payments, use the navigation panel on the left to scroll down to Processors. From there, select either Bank Card or Bank Account/ACH (USA). These pages list all of your current processors. Click the plus icon to create a new Payix processor.
Once you've filled out all of the required fields, click the ‘Save’ button at the top right.
With a processor set up, you're ready to send both bank card and ACH payments to Payix. This works the same as any other integrated processor, and is detailed in our logging payments article.
