How can we help?

Accept Global Pay/EFT Canada

LoanPro has an integration with Accept Global Pay (formerly EFT Canada), which processes payments for Canadian e-check accounts.

Before you set up a processor, you'll need to sign up with EFT Canada. Once you've been approved, they'll give you credentials that you can enter into Secure Payments.

Setup

You can set up an Accept Pay Global processor in either Secure Payments or our loan management system (LMS). No matter where you set it up, they will link to each other.

From Secure Payments

In Secure Payments, navigate to Settings > Processors > Bank Account EFT (Canada) > EFT Canada. Here, you'll see a list of all the EFT Canada processors you've created.

When you click the blue plus + icon in the top right corner, you'll be able to create a new one.

You'll see the following fields:

Setting Description
Name A text field where you can input a name for the processor. If you're using several EFT processors, we recommend coming up with a naming scheme so you can easily tell which processor is which.
Username Your username with EFT Canada. This is created when you sign up with them.
Signature Key This helps the processor identify the merchant and will be provided by EFT Canada.
API Token Your API credentials from EFT Canada, which they give you after you've signed up and been approved.
Auto Reversal If Auto Reversal is on, then failed transactions Secure Payments will automatically reverse them in LMS.
PAD Type The pre-authorization debit (PAD) type tells what kind of Options are “Personal” and “Business”.
Type Code This code specifies the type of transaction. For a full list of possible codes, expand the list below.
Bypass Processing If bypass processing is turned on, then Secure Payments won't actually send this transaction to EFT Canada. This can help you test that everything in LMS and Secure Payments is working correctly without needing to actually move any funds.
Demo Account/Demo Mode This lets you toggle between demo mode and live mode. In demo mode, LoanPro will send data to EFT Canada and receive responses, but it will not send actual payment data to the borrowers' banks and no payments will be processed. This lets you test that data is being sent to EFT Canada without moving money.

Once you've set up your EFT Canada processor, click ‘Save.’ You are now ready to begin processing payments.

From LMS

In LMS, navigate to Settings > Company > Merchant > Secure Payments. (It's actually the first page you'll land on when you click Settings > Company.) There are five tabs on this page; you'll want to click Bank Account/EFT (Canada).

This page will show any existing EFT processors you've created: EFT Canada, VersaPay, and CPA-005. When you click ‘Add Processor’, you'll be able to create a new one.

Start by clicking Processor Type and selecting ‘EFT Canada’. You'll then see the following settings:

Setting Description
Processor Name A text field where you can input a name for the processor. If you're using several EFT processors, we recommend coming up with a naming scheme so you can easily tell which processor is which.
API Token Your API credentials from EFT Canada, which they give you after you've signed up and been approved.
API Key This is your processor API key.
Fund Token This is a token provided by the processor that is needed to send funds to your bank account.
Demo Mode This lets you toggle between demo mode and live mode. In demo mode, LoanPro will send data to EFT Canada and receive responses, but it will not send actual payment data to the borrowers' banks and no payments will be processed. This lets you test that data is being sent to EFT Canada without moving money.
Auto Reversal If Auto Reversal is on, then failed transactions Secure Payments will automatically reverse them in LMS.
*Default Processor This option only appears in LMS. If this is set as your default processor, than any payment logged with EFT as the payment method will automatically select this processor. This won't lock you into that choice, however; you can manually select another processor if you prefer. (Also note that a merchant processor group saved to the loan will override this default.)

Once you've set up your EFT Canada processor, click ‘Save.’ You are now ready to begin processing payments.
