User login and cross-tenant access
When you become a LoanPro user, you are eligible to use our three products: the Loan Management System (LMS), Secure Payments, and Connections. Each of these products can be used individually, but they're incredibly powerful together. Depending on their role, users will have access to one or more of the three products. Additionally, some customers require multiple tenants and need to grant their users cross-tenant access.
This article will explain how to log in to LoanPro and how to grant users cross-tenant access.
User credentials
LoanPro LMS conforms to authentication security standards to help keep our applications secure and to keep us compliant with SOC and PCI-DSS standards. This keeps your and your clients’ information safe, while still making it convenient to access our products.
To log in to Loan Management System (LMS), Secure Payments, or Connections, simply navigate to loanpro.io and click the login button. (You can also go to sso.loanpro.io/login).
You'll be presented with the LoanPro login screen.
To log in to a product, select its tile and enter your email and password. If you'd like, you can also log in with your Google account; though, this is only available when logging in to LMS. Additionally, to log in with your Google account, you must use the email associated with your user account in LoanPro.
If you haven't created your Secure Payments or Connections account, you can do so by clicking the link at the bottom of the login page.
If you use the same email for all three LoanPro products, logging into one of them will automatically log you into all of them.
Password reset
LMS requires that you change your password every 90 days. This is a best practice to maintain password security, but also helps LoanPro stay SOC compliant. You can use the password reset process to change your password at any time. You can find this on the login page.
To reset your password, do the following:
- Click the ‘Forgot your password?’ link.
- Enter your user email on the Reset Password page and click ‘SEND’. This will send a password reset email to the email address entered.
- Click the link in the password reset email. This will send another email with a temporary password.
- Use the temporary password from the password email to log in. You will be asked to update your password.
- Use the temporary password to update your password.
Password requirements
To comply with audit requirements and cybersecurity best practices, we don't require complex passwords. Instead, we encourage you to bolster security with longer passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Additionally, we ensure that passwords were not previously used, do not use common patterns that make them susceptible to brute-force attack, and that they do not appear on lists of compromised passwords.
Passwords are enforced with the following measures:
- A user can attempt to login five times before they are locked out for thirty minutes.
- Creating/changing your own password requires email verification, and at least ten alphanumeric characters.
After successfully logging in to your LoanPro account, you can easily switch between LMS, Secure Payments, and Connections. To log in to any of the three, click your profile name in the top right corner of LMS. Then, select which account you'd like to log in to from the drop-down menu shown in the image below:
If your accounts are linked via the same email, clicking the link for either Connections or Secure Payments will open them without the need to log in again.
User access
You may not prefer to give all of your personnel access to the Secure Payments and Connections accounts associated with LoanPro. When creating or adjusting user roles, you can grant or restrict access by checking the appropriate checkboxes. By default, only the account admin will have access to these links.
To create or adjust a user role navigate to Setting > Company > Access > Role-Based Access and select ‘Add New Role” to create a role or click the pencil icon next to an existing role to change its access.
Fill out the general information for the role then click ‘Next’ to view the role access tree. On the tree, navigate to Company View > Product Navigation. From here you can select or deselect Secure Payments and Connections, for that user role.
Granting cross-tenant access
A single agent user can have access to multiple tenants within the software. This is set up through the ‘Users’ section. The user can then be designated different levels of access depending on the tenant they are working in.
For security purposes, clients may NOT grant cross tenant access to their own agent users.
In order to grant a user cross tenant access, you will need to first fill out the Cross Tenant Access Request Form below. You will need to either print or download this form, complete and sign it, then upload the form to your computer to send to SOS Support.
When our Success Specialists have received the form, a representative will grant the requested cross tenant access then reply to your email with a confirmation of completion.
At this point, you will be responsible for completing the configuration of the user in the tenant that they have received access to. This can be done in Users > Agent Users then select the user you want to configure and click 'Edit'.
This will allow you to select the settings for this user.
Once you have selected all of the desired settings for the Agent User, click 'Save'.
