API – Suspend/Resume Interest

General

In LoanPro, you can suspend interest on a loan for a time, or later resume that interest. Our article Suspend/Resume Interest Accrual explains the basics and how to use the tool in the UI, and this article goes over how to use it through the API. To suspend/resume interest for a loan, send a PUT request to the URL of the loan. Here's an example for a loan with an ID of 88:

https://loanpro.simnang.com/api/public/api/1/odata.svc/Loans(88)

This URL is unique to each individual loan, with those last numbers (88 in this example) giving the loan ID. If you don't know the loan ID of the loan you're working with, see our article on Finding Loan and Customer IDs.

Below is the body of the request:

{
"StopInterestDates": {
"results": [
{
"type": "loan.stopInterestType.suspend",
"date": "2015-11-28"
}
]
}
}
  • type – Whether to suspend or resume interest
    • loan.stopInterestType.suspend – Suspend interest
    • loan.stopInterestType.resume – Resume interest
  • date – The date to suspend/resume interest for the loan
