Interest Adjustment Report
Similar to other tenant-level reports, interest adjustment reports search through all of your loans, or all the loans that match a search, and display all of the interest adjustment transactions made on them. You can view when transactions were created and applied, as well as their statuses.
This article will go into detail on how to use this feature in LMS and what is included in the interest adjustment report.
Interest Adjustment Report
The interest adjustment report is located in the reports section in LMS. Navigate to Reports > Transactions History > Interest Adjustment to view the list of the interest adjustment transactions.
This page includes the total accounts that were pulled from your search, as well as the increase and decrease total.
The parameters on the left side of the screen let you filter your search. The search options give you the ability to search when an interest adjustment transaction was created and when the adjustment will apply. These are the search options available to you:
- Create Date Period – You can select the date period of when the interest adjustment was created. You have the option to use a calendar to select the date by clicking on the grey box underneath.
- Apply Date Period – You can select the date of when the interest adjustment will apply — which also lets you use the calendar option.
- Category – This displays all the interest adjustment categories. Selecting a category will only pull transactions that align with that specific category when generating a report. You can configure the interest adjustment categories by going to Settings > Loan > Labeling > Interest Adjustment.
You can also use the advanced option search to filter the report based on properties of loans, like statuses, grouping, and brackets.
Once you run a search, you'll see a summary at the top of the page and individual transactions below. The summary lists the increase and decrease total for each category.
The results below will show these default columns:
This is the display ID that is associated with the interest adjustment transaction. Clicking this ID will take you to the loan, similar to other reports.
This is the system ID of the interest adjustment transaction.
This is the title of the interest adjustment transaction, assigned during the creation of the transaction.
This is the date the interest adjustment was created.
This is the date the interest adjustment transaction applied (or will apply) to the loan's transaction schedule.
This is the category of the interest adjustment. This is assigned when creating the interest adjustment. (This field displays the category name, not the category ID.)
This is the amount of the interest adjustment.
This specifies whether the transaction is increasing or decreasing due interest.
You have the ability to add custom columns to your search parameters. You can add new custom columns by clicking the three vertical line icon above the list of interest adjustments. You will be given a list of extra columns that you can add to the report — up to three.
You can select which columns you want to add by clicking the checkboxes to the left. The generated reports for interest adjustment transactions will be stored in LMS and available to download for 24 hours. After that, the reports will be automatically deleted from the system. You can also manually delete them before the 24 hours is up. The interest adjustment reports can be managed in the transactions history by clicking the book icon to the right of the columns icon.
After you add new columns, they will be listed in the headers section.
As you can see above, we used the columns 'Days Past Due' and 'Amount Past Due 30+.'
Schedule a Report
If you'd like to run the report later, you can schedule a it for a specific date and time. Just click 'Data Options' in the top right corner and select 'Schedule Report'.
Enter the name of the report and the date and time when you want it to be applied. You also can select where you want this report to be saved, either downloading it as a CSV file or sending it to the collector queue. After entering the information, click 'Schedule' to schedule the report.
By clicking on the calendar icon, you will be shown scheduled reports. After the report has been executed on that time and date, the report will be listed in the generated reports section.
The list of your generated reports can be managed in the transactions history. In the interest adjustment tab, click on the book icon next to the icon with three vertical bars.
This icon will show you a list of all your generated reports.
It will show you the status of the report, when it was created, and if it is ready to download. You can download your report by clicking the blue down arrow to the right of the screen.
